Who we are

Decoy & Drake (decoyanddrake.com) is an online publisher operated by Iron Mako Media. In this policy, “we” means Decoy & Drake. You can reach us at mike@blackironathletics.com.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, what device and browser they use, and which buttons get clicked (including clicks on buy buttons, so we can see which guides are useful). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to do this. We don't use it to identify you personally, and we don't run advertising or remarketing through it. You can opt out with Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. Google's own use of the data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links and retailer cookies

When you click a buy button, you leave our site for the retailer (currently Amazon). The retailer may set its own cookies so it can tell that you arrived from us and credit a commission if you buy. Those cookies are controlled by the retailer under its own privacy policy, not by us, and we don't receive your name, address or payment details from any purchase. The contact form

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you send: your name, your email address, the topic and your message. We use it only to reply to you and, for corrections, to fix the page. Messages are delivered to our inbox by email; we don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share your details. To stop spam, the form server keeps a short-lived count of submissions per network address; it isn't stored after that window. We keep correspondence only as long as it's useful for the conversation, and we'll delete it if you ask.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site still works without them. You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you from correspondence, or to delete it, by emailing mike@blackironathletics.com. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights under local law; we'll honor them. We don't sell personal information.

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and its “Last updated” date. See also our terms of use.
